India Blocks Indus Water Treaty After Terrorist Attack, Pakistan Remains Frustrated

New Delhi: After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India took a series of actions against Pakistan and Pakistan-based terrorist bases. On the night of 6 May 2025, India launched Operation Sindoor with the aim of targeting terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. India also stopped the water of rivers flowing to Pakistan. A year after Operation Sindoor, India has still stopped the water from Indus from being restored to Pakistan. The gate of the dam on the Chenab River is closed. In the video released by news agency ANI, it can be seen that even after a year of'Operation Sindoor'in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, the controlled flow of water from major dams on the Chenab River continues. Only one gate of the Salala Dam has also been opened. That is why Pakistan is frustrated. Pakistan is frustrated with the ban on the Indus Water Treaty. India has stopped the water of Indus River after the terrorist attack on Pahalgam in April last year. The Prime Minister of Pakistan has accused India of blocking the Indus Water Treaty.
