India has criticised Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif. He had hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the Guardian of the Blue Horizon Award given to him by Seychelles. The NDTV report quoted government sources as saying, "It is well known that Khawaja Asif is mentally unstable. His current assignment reveals the state of affairs in Pakistan today. Clearly, he has no regular job and spends his time talking nonsense on subjects he knows little about. Jealousy is always a bad feeling, especially when it comes from someone with a grudge." Asif called the award a hasty recognition and alleged that it was hastily drafted just before PM Modi's visit. Referring to reports of typographical errors in the initial version of the letter of honour, the Pakistani minister claimed that while it was the most embarrassing story so far, Modi's visit to Avangarh was a complete statement of intent.
