DCP Arrested Ahmedabad Crime Branch has seized fake currency notes worth crores of rupees from Amraiwadi area late last night. Also arrested 7 accused including a woman from Surat. Police took six hours to count the fake currency notes worth Rs 2.38 crores seized from these people. Out of these, Rs 2.38 crores and Rs.80 lakhs were seized from Ahmedabad. After the counting of these notes was over, the Crime Branch registered a formal complaint. Significantly, the Ahmedabad Crime Branch has caught a network of fake currency notes on the basis of information. All these accused were found to be from Surat.
