Chief Minister Rekha Gupta told the press conference that this policy has been prepared keeping in mind the basic need of Delhi. For this, the government has fixed a huge budget of ₹15,000 crore. This budget has been divided into two parts - ₹7,000 crore will be spent directly on implementing the policy, while ₹8,000 crore will be used to set up a network of charging stations in Delhi and to subsidize customers. According to government data, the share of commercial vehicles in Delhi is close to 33%, while 46% of two-wheelers and three-wheelers have been changed so that the government can focus on these categories.
