Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that Pakistan makes such statements to hide its failures and to divert attention from human rights violations. He said that India strongly rejects these fabricated claims. Meanwhile, he drew the world's attention to the protests in PoK and the wrong policies of the Pakistani government. Randhir Jaiswal said, "The protests in the areas under illegal occupation of Pakistan are the result of decades-old policies of the government there. These policies include economic exploitation, violation of fundamental rights, and suppression of civilians by the administration. In response, the Pakistani government used police brutality, blocking supplies of essential goods and medicines, shutting down the internet, and murderous attacks against unarmed civilians." India reiterated its stance on the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT) on Friday, saying that Pakistan would not relinquish the treaty until it was "reliably" closed.
