Cabinet Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya became emotional after the victory in Indore. His eyes welled up while describing the situation in Bengal to the media. He said, "During the last election, when I was in charge there, false cases were filed against me and our campaigners under non-bailable sections like rape and child trafficking. Mamata Banerjee was busy sending us to jail. It is indescribable to describe the mental agony I went through during this time. It is difficult to even imagine the situation in Bengal from here. You cannot understand the reason for my happiness and tears. Political differences are one thing, but the way I was targeted in Bengal was intolerable. Serious and false allegations of rape were levelled against me to break my morale. Only I know the mental agony I have suffered for the last six years. These are not tears of weakness, but tears of joy at the victory over injustice."
