After a statement by the Ministry of External Affairs, the question has arisen as to who is a citizen of India. Today, most of the people of India do not have any official document that proves that they are a citizen of India because Aadhar Card, Pan Card, Voter Card, Driving License, Passport are all identity cards made according to different laws of the country but not identity of citizenship. The Ministry of External Affairs says that passport is not the identity of Indian citizenship. Now political parties have again started raising the question of what is the identity of Indianness. When any document issued by the Government of India is not a proof of citizenship and the Government of India does not issue a certificate by conducting NRC, then what is the document that Indians have today. Since the matter is related to the politics of showing papers, the opposition is also raising questions. Owaisi says that you will be considered an Indian only if you are a member of the BJP. Gaurav Gogoi of the Congress says that if all these statements are not prepared to bring the NRC, then it is not possible to issue a passport as the main identity of the citizens of the country.
