It was also revealed that the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has sent a letter to the BCCI regarding this tour. It is now known that former cricketer Tamim Iqbal has become the president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board. He has repeatedly reiterated the hosting of Team India in the media.
