Indian Government Approves Large-Scale Purchase of Pulses and Oilseeds at Minimum Support Price

A day before the release of the 23rd installment of PM Kisan Yojana, the farmers have received a big gift. To ensure the benefit of Minimum Support Price (MSP) to the farmers and to relieve them from the pressure of prices in the market, the Central Government has approved the purchase of pulses and oilseeds on a large scale at MSP in four states. According to the Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, this purchase will be done in Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana under the Price Support Scheme (PSS). This will give the farmers a fair price for their produce and save them from being forced to sell the crop at a low price. This gift has been given to the farmers before the release of the 23rd installment of PM Kisan Yojana. On 20 June, the 23rd installment of PM Kisan Yojana will be released from West Bengal.
