According to the Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, this purchase will be done in Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana under the Price Support Scheme (PSS). This will give the farmers a fair price for their produce and save them from being forced to sell the crop at a low price. This gift has been given to the farmers before the release of the 23rd installment of PM Kisan Yojana. On 20 June, the 23rd installment of PM Kisan Yojana will be released from West Bengal. The biggest beneficiary of this scheme has been Uttar Pradesh.
