Indian Government Calls All-Party Meeting Ahead of Stormy Monsoon Session

The central government has called an all-party meeting on July 19, a day before the start of the monsoon session of parliament. In this meeting, the central government will outline its legislative agenda, while the opposition parties will put forward the issues they want to raise during the monsoon session. This all-party meeting, which is held before every session of parliament, will start at 11 am on July 19. The central government has an agenda of many important bills this time and many important bills can be introduced in the monsoon session. However, this monsoon session is expected to be very stormy. On the other hand, there has also been a rift and infighting in many opposition parties in the past. There has also been turmoil in the TMC after the defeat in the West Bengal assembly elections. 20 TMC MPs have joined the National Citizens Party of India. They have demanded to sit separately from the MPs of the Mamata Banerjee faction in the Lok Sabha in the lower house of parliament. TMC, 3 Rajya Sabha MPs have also resigned from the party.
