Indian Government Provides Bulletproof Jackets to Politicians, Saints, and Mahants Ahead of Elections

The Yogi Adityanath government on Friday decided to provide bulletproof jackets not only to politicians but also to saints and mahants. The government has decided to strengthen security arrangements for leaders of 44 major political parties ahead of the assembly elections and provide bulletproof jackets to others. Satua Baba of Kashi and Swami Vasudevanand Saraswati Maharaj of Prayagraj, who is said to be close to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with Jagatguru Shankaracharya, Unnao MP Dr Swami Sachchidanand Hari Sakshi'Sakshi Maharaj'and Gorakhpur MP Rabindra Nath Shukla'Ravi Kishan'will also be provided bulletproof jackets. Satua Baba at Magh Mela Prayagraj 2026 has been in the news for his Rs 3 crore Land Rover Defender car. Jagatguru Mahamandaleshwar Santosh Das alias Satua Baba is also considered close to CM Yogi Adityanath. Satua Baba's original name is Santosh Tiwari alias Santosh Das. Satua Baba is the head of the famous Manikarnika Ashram at Manikarnika Ghat in Varanasi. Satua Baba and Vishnu P Difflender Swami, the head of the spiritual sect, are also in the news for their lavish collection of luxury vehicles.
