Indian Husband and In-Laws Arrested for Torturing Daughter-In-Law Over Dowry Demands

The businessman said that his daughter had an MBA from London. He had a job in a company in Scotland. On November 26, he married the software engineer son of a hotelier from Sadar area. The son-in-law worked in Hyderabad. His sister also lived with him. After the marriage, the daughter went to her husband in Hyderabad. There she was tortured for extra dowry. When she refused, she was beaten up, got her pregnancy aborted. The advertiser alleged that the in-laws were plotting to kill her daughter. The daughter somehow escaped. DCP City Syed Ali Abbas said that the police arrested the husband, father-in-law and mother-in-law from Hyderabad. From there, the three were brought to Agra on transit remand. On Sunday, the three were produced before the court and sent to jail.
