Indian Minister Dharmendra Pradhan Resigns Amidst NEET Paper Leak Protests

From being a trusted election manager in challenging states for the BJP and holding key ministries in three terms of the Modi government to resigning as the education minister, Dharmendra Pradhan's political career took a big hit after the protests sparked by the NEET paper leak across the country. On Saturday (25 July 2026), 35 days after the protests started under the leadership of the CJP demanding resignation over alleged irregularities in the examination system and the NEET paper leak, Dharmendra Pradhan resigned from his post. Dharmendra Pradhan, who started politics as an ABVP activist in 1983, became a union minister three times after two decades. He played many important roles in his political career.
