According to the latest update of the IMD, the country has received only 42.6 mm of rain in this period, while the normal rainfall should have been 72.2 mm. According to the regional information of the Meteorological Department, there is a 67% rain deficit in central India. There is a 42% rain deficit in eastern and northeastern India, 22% in the southern peninsula, and 6% in northwest India. The Meteorological Department said that for the last few days, the monsoon has not advanced in the rest of Maharashtra. The monsoon has stopped for several days in areas like Konkan and central Maharashtra. (IMD) said that the monsoon is not strong in the Arabian Sea, which usually brings strong winds.
