Interacting with the media after the meeting of the DISHA committee on Friday in the Lok Sabha Secretariat, MP Jaiprakash said that the state government has claimed to save a subsidy of Rs 700 crores by cheating the farmers, which is completely wrong. He questioned whether the sowing of wheat was less this time or the farmers had put less urea. The area of sowing remained almost the same, but the urea was not available to the farmers on time. In such a situation, how can the government say that it has saved the subsidy. The MP said that the farmers are not getting the crop on time and the economic direction of the farmers is weakening them in the monsoon season.
