Washington, તા.31: Akhil Reed Amar, an Indian-origin professor of law and political science at the prestigious Yale University in the US, has brought laurels to India at the international level. He was awarded the Abraham Lincoln Institute Book Prize for the year 2026 for his latest book Born Equal: Remaking America's Constitution, 1840-1920 Washington ડી.સી.ના Washington તા.31 He was presented the honour at a glittering ceremony held at the historic Ford's Theatre. Akhil Reed Amar's parents are originally from India and were physicians by profession. Akhil Amar, the son of an Indian couple who came to study at the University of Michigan, made his mark by joining the faculty of Yale University at the age of 26. He is the only living professor at Yale to have received the highest awards in all three fields: scholarship, outstanding teaching, and service to alumni.
