Indian PM Narendra Modi Arrives in Uzbekistan for Two-Day State Visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan for his two-day state visit on Saturday (August 29, 2026). PM Modi's visit continues to be very important for the relations between the two countries. In fact, during this visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold high-level talks with Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to further strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries. In addition, the leaders of India and Uzbekistan will review cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, defense, digital connectivity, energy, education, and people-to-people contacts and set the agenda for further work. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Tashkent on a two-day state visit. Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi himself arrived at the airport to a warm welcome. Immediately after PM Modi's flight landed, President Mirziyoyev received him in Tashkent and congratulated him.
