Indian PM Narendra Modi to Visit Seychelles for Golden Jubilee Celebrations

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to pay a two-day state visit to Seychelles from Saturday to Monday (June 1, 2026). In fact, the President of Seychelles, Dr. Patrick Herminie, has sent an invitation to PM Modi to attend as the Chief Guest of Honour the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the National Day of Seychelles. An official statement has been issued by the Government of India on Thursday (June 25, 2026) regarding PM Modi's state visit to Seychelles. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had earlier visited Seychelles in 2015. A contingent of the Indian Armed Forces and two ships of the Indian Navy will also participate in the ceremony. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, during this visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold talks with the President of Seychelles, Dr. Herminie, to review all aspects of bilateral cooperation and exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
