Indian Politician Arrested After Warrant Issued for Illegal Demonstration Conviction

Confirming the arrest, Mufassil police station officer-in-charge Gaurav Kumar said that an FIR was registered against Hanzla Sheikh in a case related to an illegal demonstration held in 2019. After hearing the case, the court convicted and sentenced him under the Criminal Law Amendment Act. Police arrested him in light of the warrant issued in the same case. According to Advertisement Police, a warrant of conviction was pending against Hanzla Sheikh after receiving the sentence from the court. Police were taking continuous action for the execution of the warrant. He was then arrested and produced in the court, from where he was sent to judicial custody.
