Indian Politicians Criticize Government Over Friendship with Iran, Forget Country's History of Betrayal

New Delhi: Amid the flames of the Great War raging in the Middle East, the political temperature in India is heating up. The way Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and SP leader Akhilesh Yadav are targeting the government in the name of friendship with Iran, it seems that they have forgotten to solve Congress's own archives. History is witness that when India was fighting the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971 under the leadership of Indira Gandhi, the same Iran stabbed India in the back. The then ruler Shah Pahlavi not only provided Pakistan with military equipment but also gave safe haven to Pakistani aircraft at its airbases to avoid Indian Air Force attacks. This treacherous tradition was not limited to 1971. Even in the 1965 war, Iran gave free crude oil and weapons to Pakistan. When Ayatollah Khomeini came to power after the 1979 Islamic Revolution, it was hoped that relations would improve, but instead, Iran started poisoning India over Kashmir. Despite this, Gandhi has always protested against India's interference in India's internal affairs.
