Indian President Appoints Pralhad Joshi as Minister of Education Following Dharmendra Pradhan's Resignation

After the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan, Pralhad Joshi has been given the additional responsibility of the Ministry of Education. President Droupadi Murmu has directed that Cabinet Minister Pralhad Joshi be given the charge of the Ministry of Education. According to the notification issued by the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation has been accepted with immediate effect. The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) announced to end its agitation over the NEET controversy after the central government accepted all the demands of the organization on Saturday (25 July 2026). Pralhad Joshi is already holding the responsibility of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution in the central government. Along with these ministries, he will now supervise the functioning and policy decisions of the Ministry of Education. Pralhad Joshi, who comes from the background of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), is a five-time MP from Dharwad, Karnataka. He is also considered close to PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Union Minister Pralhad Joshi accused Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha two days ago of misleading the youth of the country when he said that the central government was also committed to leak the letter of the future events.
