New Delhi: The ongoing war between Iran and the US / Israel and mixed global cues led to a sharp fall in the domestic stock market today. BSE SENSEX 1342.27 fell 1342.27 points to close at 76 863.71 points. NIFTY50 index of National Stock Exchange also slipped 394.75अंक to 23 866.85 points. The fall caused a loss of about Rs 3 lakh crore to investors and reduced the market cap of BSE listed companies to Rs 444 lakh crore. 28 out of 30 Sensex stocks ended lower. Bajaj Finance was the biggest loser. Axis Bank, Bajaj Finserv, Mahindra & Mahindra, Kotak Bank, Maruti, Bharti Airtel, Asian Paints, BEL and TCS also fell 2-3%. Only Sun Pharma and NTPC were up. Broader markets also declined. Nifty Midcap was down 1.25% and Nifty Smallcap was down 0.36%.
