Indian Weather Agency Forecasts Heavy Rainfall and Thunderstorms Across Multiple Regions

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall in Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karnataka and Madhya Maharashtra today. The Weather Agency said that conditions are favourable for further withdrawal of the Southwest Monsoon from some more parts of Rajasthan and some parts of Punjab, Saurashtra, and Kutch during the next two days. The Met Department has predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds over Jharkhand, Odisha, Rayalaseema, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Lakshadweep and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands for the day. Similar weather conditions are expected over East Rajasthan, Gujarat, Kerala, Mahe, West Bengal and parts of North East India till tomorrow.
