India's Chief Minister Calls for Ceasefire in Iran-US-Israel Conflict

SRINAGAR, JAMMU AND KASHMIR. CHIEF MINISTER OMAR ABDULLAH has his own take on the war. We certainly hope the war ends soon. No one else can fill the role that PM Modi can play in this regard. Because he maintains good relations with all the nations involved. If Trump thinks he can influence Iran, he should realise that no one has ever successfully ruled Iran, not for years. It will not be easy. I think a ceasefire should be declared. This is not the first time that a leader has expressed such a sentiment. Several leaders have hinted at it in the past and there is no dispute that PM Modi has equally strong diplomatic ties with the US, Iran, Russia and Israel. That is why a few days ago, President of Finland Alexander Stubb remarked that India can play an important role in the conflict involving Iran, the US and Israel. It is noteworthy that since the hostilities with Iran began, PM Modi has held talks with the leaders of West Asia, including the Prime Ministers of Jordan, Malaysia, France, and Jordan.
