India's External Affairs Minister Meets G7 Counterparts to Discuss Global Geopolitical Challenges

Paris: Amid escalating tensions in West Asia and the protracted Russia-Ukraine conflict, India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is on a key visit to France. India participated as a special invitee in the G7 Foreign Ministers'Special Meeting here. The meeting is taking place at a time when the world is facing serious geopolitical challenges. Deep discussions on West Asia and Ukraine According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the meeting discussed in detail the current situation in West Asia, including the conflict between Iran and Israel and the Ukraine war. Apart from India, countries like Brazil, Saudi Arabia and South Korea were also given a special place in this forum. All the leaders also stressed on measures to improve UN peacekeeping missions in the Strait of Hormuz and India's energy security.
