New Delhi: Amid the raging war flames in West Asia, the Indian government is on high alert. Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a very important high-level meeting at his residence with senior ministers including Amit Shah, S. Jaishankar, and Nirmala Sitharaman. The main purpose of this meeting is to ensure that India's petroleum and natural gas supplies are not disrupted due to the ongoing tensions in the Middle East. In view of the increasing risks on important sea routes such as the Strait of Hormuz, the Indian government has stressed on alternative planning so that fuel prices remain stable in the country. PM Modi has given clear instructions during the meeting that there should be no reduction in requirements related to fertilizers and agriculture. Supply chains are often disrupted in war situations, but the government has assured that India has adequate supplies of oil, gas, and especially domestic LPG cylinders. Additional bookings in panic have been reduced and inspections have been intensified across the country to prevent hoarding. In addition to these, the construction of hospitals and state gas stations, the safety of Indians is becoming a top priority for the Modi government.
