India's Jan Aushadhi Kendra: A Long-Awaited Affordable Medicine Initiative

In the last 14 years, there were many administrative movements to start the Jan Aushadhi Kendra. Top officials of the health department including former chief minister Raghuvar Das, local MP Bidyut Baran Mahato, former health minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi and former minister Banna Gupta issued strict instructions during the inspection to start the center soon.
