India's Oil Companies Increase Gas Cylinder Prices Amid Inflation Shock

New Delhi: After the elections, oil companies have significantly increased the price of gas cylinders. This has caused a major inflation shock in the month of May. Today, a 19-kilogram commercial LPG cylinder has increased by about Rs 1,000. Today, the price of a commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has been increased by Rs 993. Today, the price of this cylinder in the capital will be Rs 3 071.50. Last month, the price of this cylinder was Rs 2 078.50. There has been a significant increase in the price of LPG cylinders across the country. As soon as the elections are over in many states, including West Bengal and Assam, the price of commercial LPG cylinders (19 kg) and 5 kg LPG cylinders has increased significantly. Government oil companies have increased the price of commercial LPG cylinders (ID5 000) and 5 kg ID7 cylinders, which will come into effect in Mumbai and other cities from 2026.
