Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the country's third semiconductor plant in Sanand, Gujarat on Saturday. CG Semiconductor's OSAT plant in Sanand will start production from today. This will increase India's chip manufacturing capacity and reduce dependence on imported chips for electronic devices. The government believes that this will create a strong partnership in India's global semiconductor supply chain. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that efforts were underway to develop the chip industry in the country for the last 60 years, but with Modi's vision, this dream is now coming true. Vaishnaw said that work in the semiconductor sector is progressing rapidly. The first plant is starting on February 28, the second on March 31, and the third on July 4. It is a big achievement for India to start three large plants in such a short time. Ashwini Vaishnaw informed about the progress of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project, saying that the project is almost 80 percent complete. The first section from Mumbai to Billimora-Ahmedabad and Surat to Vapi will be commissioned by 2027.
