Iran Closes Strait of Hormuz After Firing on Ships, Including Indian Vessels

Tehran: The Strait of Hormuz has once again caught the world's attention, as Iran says it has closed the vital energy waterway. Earlier, after Israel's ceasefire in Lebanon, Iran had said that ships are allowed to pass through the strait. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi himself had announced this, but on August 18, when the convoy of ships was moving to pass through Hormuz, the IRGC started firing on them, after which they had to turn back. Information has emerged that two Indian ships have been fired upon. One of the ships is reported to be loaded with crude oil. The shooting incident is also worrying because Iran has already allowed Indian ships to pass through Hormuz State. The firing indicates differences within the Iranian regime. Iran's Foreign Minister IRGC's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announcement seems to be angry with the Iranian foreign minister.
