Iran Mourns Late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Emotional Funeral Ceremony

Preparations have been completed for the funeral of Iran's late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Emotional scenes were witnessed at the tribute ceremony held in Tehran ahead of the multi-day funeral starting on Saturday. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf broke down during the ceremony. The funeral was attended by a large number of people, including leaders of dozens of countries. In fact, the Iranian government considers it not just a mourning ceremony but a demonstration of national unity, political strength, and its power after the war. Large banners have been erected on the streets of the capital with messages such as'We Must Rise'in Arabic, Persian, and English. These messages are appealing to the public to remain united in support of the Islamic Republic. Khamenei's national flag was draped over Tehran's Grand Mosalla complex. His family members, including his eldest daughter and son-in-law, were also placed in the coffin on the first day of the war.
