Iran Urges BRICS to Take Stance Against US and Israel Attacks

Iran has once again reiterated its demand at the BRICS forum that the organization take a more assertive stance on the attacks on Iran by the US and Israel. India is currently chairing the BRICS. Iran made its intentions clear by raising such a demand at the meeting of the BRICS Foreign Ministers and NSAs. Iranian Interior Minister Dr. Eskandar Momeni raised the issue of the attack on Iran at a key meeting of the BRICS on Friday. Senior ministers and officials of the BRICS member states participated in this meeting. According to sources, Iran is trying to include criticism of the activities of the US and Israel in the joint declaration of the BRICS summit to be held in September 2026. During the meeting, Dr. Momeni said, "The aggression against the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the violation of the country's integrity is a clear proof of its disregard for all international documents, including the UN Charter." He also called for making the BRICS an engine of economic growth, prevention of infrastructure and human life in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
