Iranian Parliament Speaker Condemns US Strikes, Ends Unilateral Agreement

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has reacted strongly to the US strikes on Sunday (July 12). He has said that the unilateral memorandum agreement between the two sides has ended. Ghalibaf has pointed out the point recorded in the memorandum agreement emphasizing the reopening of Hormuz. It says that after the signing of the MoU, the Islamic Republic of Iran will do its best so that commercial ships can safely pass from the Persian Gulf to the Sea of Oman and vice versa. No fee will be charged for 60 days. Ghalibaf has said that the US has withdrawn from this agreement. The round of unilateral agreements is over. We said stick to our word, and pay the price. Now the reality is coming out. Ghalibaf's statement comes at a time when the Centum, the US Central Command, has said that the third round of strikes against Iran will be completed this week. In Hormuz, the military forces of the Iranian military are responsible for 140 attacks.
