Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has asked the Gulf and other neighboring countries not to allow the US to use their territory to attack Iran. At the same time, he stressed that Tehran does not consider countries like Saudi Arabia and the UAE as its enemies. In an exclusive interview with India Today Group Editor (Foreign Affairs) Gita Mohan, Pezeshkian said that Iran's dispute is with the presence of US forces in the region, not with the Arab countries themselves. Pezeshkian has objected to the use of US military bases in the region to attack Tehran. He said that the UAE and other countries in the region are our brothers and Iran has long maintained relations and trade relations with them. He said, "We have no problem with the UAE. We have no problem with any country in the region. We have a problem with the US bases that are located in these countries and with which they are attacking our country." He said that the UAE and other countries in the region "should not be used to attack our country."
