Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in Pakistan today, Tuesday, June 23, on a one-day visit aimed at fully implementing all the terms of the agreement between Iran and the United States and discussing regional and international developments of mutual interest. According to state TV channel PTV, the Iranian leader landed at Nur Khan Airbase where he was received by Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and other senior officials. Shahbaz Sharif was seen holding an umbrella. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived in Pakistan from Muscat. He went to Muscat with Parliament Speaker and Chief Negotiator Mohammad Bagheri Ghalibaf to hold high-level talks with Omani leaders on the management of the Strait of Hormuz. The Foreign Office had earlier reported that President Pezeshkian is paying a state visit at the invitation of Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. President Trump had threatened to meet with the US President again if the ceasefire agreement between the US and Iran was not finalised.
