Iran's Supreme Leader Calls for Muslim Unity Against US and Israel Amid Escalating Tensions

Amid the ongoing war between Iran and Israel, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mujtaba Khamenei has called on Muslim countries to unite and confront the US and Israel. He told the leaders of Muslim countries to "recognize their real enemy, understand its plans and confront it." According to Iran's state news agency IRNA, Khamenei described the US and Israel as the enemies of all Islamic countries in a letter sent to leaders attending a religious conference in Tehran. Significantly, his father and several senior Iranian leaders were killed in a US-Israeli attack nearly six months ago. Mujtaba Khamenei has been rarely seen in public since then. Mujtaba Khamenei's message comes at a time when tensions between Iran and the US-Israel appear to be affecting the whole of West Asia. Iran's targeting of US military bases in neighboring Gulf Arab countries and the movement of US military ships through the Strait of Hormuz has led to an escalation of tensions in Iran on Sunday.
