ISF Candidate Arrested Amid Allegations of Vandalism, Counter-Plot in Mothabari

ISF candidate Maulana Shahjahan Ali was arrested on Thursday in connection with the siege of judges, vandalism of vehicles and disturbances related to SIR's work in Mothabari. Mim leader Mofakkerul Islam, one of the masterminds of the incident, was arrested. ISF MLA Naushad Siddiqui claimed on Friday that the ISF candidate was wrongfully arrested. On this day, he campaigned for ISF candidate Nazira Khatun in Jagatballavpur, Howrah. ISF MLA Naushad said,'Our candidate has been wrongfully arrested. It will not help. The fight will continue on the field along with the legal battle. The fight will go on to win the vote.'Naushad claimed that there is a counter-plot between the TMC and the BJP in the Mothabari incident. He said,'The ISF will do well this time and win many seats. So the TMC and the BJP are scared. The BJM has started a conspiracy.'He claimed that the Trinamool is implicating the ISF in this case.'He claimed that no one of his names can be removed from the voters'list in a democratic manner.
