New Delhi, June 1: Israeli Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, stressed on the need to prevent the rearming of Hezbollah while speaking on the sidelines of Greater West Asia Forum, India in New Delhi. “Israel has been attacked twice in a completely unprovoked manner by Hezbollah. Unfortunately, the terms of ceasefire weren’t adhered to by Hezbollah. Citizens living in northern Israel were facing several threats from Hezbollah. The other challenge is to dismantle the military infrastructure of Hezbollah,” said Azar during the event. “If Hezbollah refuses to stop attacking our communities, we will be hitting them extremely hard. The terrorist organisation, Hezbollah, has taken safe havens in Lebanon serving their agenda. At the same time, we are negotiating peace with the government of Lebanon. The Lebanese government has been incapable of dealing with Hezbollah,” adds Azar. If nothing is done to prevent it, “Ultimately Hezbollah will be rearmed again by the Iranian regime in Tehran,” further adds Azar. The Ambassador described India as the fastest growing economy of the world.
