Israeli Airstrikes and Artillery Shelling Kill At Least 16 in Southern Lebanon

Tensions between Israel and Lebanon appear to be reaching dangerous levels once again. At least 16 people are reported to have been killed by Israeli airstrikes and heavy artillery shelling in the Nabatieh district of southern Lebanon, while several others are reported to be injured or missing. According to the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) report, around 16 people have been killed and several others are injured or missing in Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling in the Nabatieh district of southern Lebanon. The agency described the overnight bombing as one of the worst Israeli attacks on the area, with several houses targeted after midnight. NNA reported that the city of Nabatieh, as well as Kafr Jowz and several nearby towns, including Kafr Ramon and Zebedeen, received reports of Israeli artillery shelling in these areas. Subsequent airstrikes by the Sharqat and Qafr news agency also killed eight people near Ha'if.
