Meanwhile, a grey Baleno car coming from Subhana village was stopped on suspicion. On search, 1 kg 400 gm opium and drug money worth Rs. 1 lakh was recovered from the car. A case has been registered at Police Station Division Number 7, Jalandhar under NDPS Act and other sections. Accused Rinku (33) resident of Kailash Nagar Basti Jodhewal, Ludhiana and Jaswant Singh alias Jassa (32) resident of village Haripur, District Jalandhar have been arrested by the private police for smuggling drugs.
