Jammu and Kashmir: Security Forces Arrest Two Militant Associates, Seize Arms and Ammunition

Security forces have arrested two militant associates in Baramulla and Pulwama districts of Jammu and Kashmir, besides recovering arms and ammunition from them, officials said on Sunday. According to officials, the arrested person has been identified as Aijaz Ahmad Ganai. He was arrested by a joint team of police, army and paramilitary forces from a vehicle check post at Goriwan in Sheeri area of Baramulla late last night. Police officials said that security forces have recovered a pistol, 10 cartridges (9mm), a magazine and a mobile phone from Aijaz. Apart from arresting Aijaz Ahmad Ganai, police and security forces carried out another operation. Security forces have arrested another militant associate during investigation in Rajpora area of Pulwama district. Senior officials said that during investigation, security forces have recovered a hand grenade (hand grenade) from the possession of Tauseef Ahmad Dar. A case under relevant sections of law has been registered against Aijaz Ahmad Dar.
