Jamnagar Administration Cracks Down on Election Campaign Materials Ahead of Local Body Polls

(By Mukund Badiyani) Jamnagar તા.25: Action has been intensified by the administration for strict enforcement of Model Code of Conduct in view of local body elections in Jamnagar. From 6.30 pm to late last night, 5 teams of Estate Branch carried out removal of election campaign materials from various places in the city. During this drive, a total of 552 kiosk boards, 213 hoardings and 644 flags have been taken down. Thus, as many as 1409 campaign materials have been removed in a single night. The operation has been continued since this morning to prevent violation of Model Code of Conduct. Banners, posters and other campaign materials of political parties have been instructed to be removed from all areas of the city. Removal of campaign materials from public places is underway on a war footing after the code of conduct came into force.
