Jamtara District Collector Meets Political Parties to Discuss Voter Registration Process

Jamtara SIR: A meeting was held on Saturday under the chairmanship of DC Alok Kumar with the representatives of various recognized political parties in the office cell. The meeting was informed about the hearing process of the SIR, claim-objection and revised schedule by the Commission. The DC appealed to the representatives of political parties to cooperate in the SIR process and make the eligible voters aware. The last date for filing claim-objection is scheduled for 30th September 2026. The notice phase and claim-objection disposal process will run from 5th August to 14th October 2026. The final voter list will be published on 19th October 2026. Political parties should make people aware at their level so that no eligible voter is left out of the electoral roll. Form six for adding names, six-A for NRI voters, seven for deletioning names and eight for correction can be used.
