Jan Suraj Leads in Bankipur By-Election as BJP Trails Behind

After the by-election in Bankipur, the counting of votes has now started. Early trends show Prashant Kishor of Jan Suraj leading in this seat. Although this seat is considered to be a traditional seat of the BJP, but this time the BJP is far behind. Although it was earlier considered a triangular contest between the BJP, Jan Suraj and the RJD in this seat, but now the equations seem to be changing. Counting of votes has started since 8 am on Monday. In the counting so far, Jan Suraj is showing a major reversal. Security has been deployed outside the counting center in view of the counting. A large number of police forces have been deployed inside and outside the counting center. All the visitors are being searched. In Bankipur, Neeraj Kumar Sinha of the BJP has got a tough fight with Rekha Gupta of the RJD and Prashant Kishor, the leader of Jan Suraj. Although before the results, Prashant Kishor has been accused by the Bihar Police of rigging the elections.
