JDU Announces Candidates for Bihar Legislative Council Elections

There is a political upheaval in Bihar regarding the elections to 8 seats of the Legislative Council (MLC). In the NDA, the JDU can contest the elections to the Legislative Council on four seats. The names of the candidates are being discussed. There seems to be a consensus on the names of the candidates. A formal announcement in this regard can be made soon. Elections are to be held on four seats of the Teachers'constituency and four of the Graduates'constituency. According to the sources, JDU candidates will contest from Patna Graduates'constituency, Tirhut Graduates'constituency, Saran Teachers'constituency, Darbhanga Teachers'constituency. Neeraj Kumar is likely to be fielded from Patna Graduates'constituency, Abhishek Jha from Tirhut Graduates'constituency, Pushkar Anand from Saran Teachers'constituency, Dilip Choudhary for Darbhanga Teachers'constituency. After the announcement of the six candidates by the RJD, the list of the candidates can also be released by the JDU. However, the possibility of last-minute changes in the names of the candidates can not be ruled out.
