The politics of Jamtara Nagar Panchayat may take a new turn in the coming days. In the disqualification case filed against the Nagar Panchayat President, the Urban Development and Housing Department of the Jharkhand government has fixed the date of final hearing on 16 June. The departmental decision that will come after this hearing may change the political picture of the Nagar Panchayat. The eyes of the political circles as well as the general public are now fixed on the hearing to be held in Ranchi. The case is related to the objection filed by the former Nagar Panchayat President Virendra Mandal. On the basis of this complaint, the disqualification action has been initiated under the Jharkhand Municipal Corporation Elected Representative (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 2020. According to the letter issued by Zulfikar Ali, Additional Secretary-cum-Investigating Officer of the Town Development and Housing Department, the final hearing of the case will be held on 16 June at noon 12:45 at the office of the Project Office.
