Jharkhand MLA Joins Student Protest with One-Day Hunger Strike

Amid the ongoing student agitation in Ranchi over the JPSC-JSSC appointment row, Dumri MLA and Jharkhand Loktantrik Krantikari Morcha (JLKM) leader Jairam Mahto has made a big announcement. He has announced a one-day hunger strike on August 9 in support of the agitating students. Jairam Mahto said that he will sit on a hunger strike in the old assembly premises from 6 am on August 9. His move will be in support of the student agitation and hunger strike going on for the last 15 days at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium. He said that he stands with the students on their demands. In fact, the students are continuously agitating over the JPSC-JSSC appointment dispute. Students are also sitting on a hunger strike during the ongoing protest at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium. Talks between the agitators and the government have been going on, but no concrete solution has been found so far. Jairam Mahto confirmed his decision in a phone conversation from today.
