Justice Bharat Parashar is the most prominent name to have moved from the trial court to the high court. He was the one who summoned former PM Manmohan Singh in the coal block scam case. In 2014, the Supreme Court made him the special judge for coal block cases. Justice Bharat Parashar was an additional sessions judge at Patiala House and then the joint registrar of the Delhi High Court. Later, he was appointed member secretary of NALSA and has been posted as officer on special duty in the Supreme Court.
