Kapil Sibal Criticizes Electoral Roll Update Process

Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal addressed a press conference on Wednesday. During this, he made a statement on the issue of SIR. He said that when the SIR was launched, we had protested. The government's partnership is with the Election Commission. The Supreme Court trusted the Election Commission. Made a tribunal. Further, he said,'It has just been asked through an RTI, which said that so far 82,782 have been decided. Meaning only 2 percent have been decided. In such a situation, it is not known how many years it will take to complete. More than 75 thousand names have been wrongly cut in the decisions that have been taken. Where the TMC had a strong hold, the names have been cut from there.'Sibal said,'We are asking Amit Shah, who gave the order that the bullet was fired at Jantar Mantar. Similarly, we are asking the Election Commission, who gave the order to cut the name. Former diplomats are saying, am I not a citizen and many officers are also asking this.'The public should not run a second campaign.'Sibal said.
