Karnataka CM Shivakumar's Government in Crisis After Cabinet Expansion

Karnataka's DK Shivakumar government has been in crisis since the cabinet expansion. According to news agency PTI, sources claimed that the chief minister has discussed inducting a woman member in the cabinet and handing over portfolios to new ministers. Sources said that there may be a minor reshuffle in cabinet portfolios to accommodate the disgruntled MLAs, in which one or two new ministers may be dropped. The CM also held a meeting with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge. The two leaders held talks for over two hours and also discussed with Venugopal before leaving for Bengaluru on Monday morning. In the last few days, Shivakumar, KPCC president बी.के. Hariprasad, AICC general secretary for Karnataka Randeep Surjewala and a few MLAs had contacted the chief minister who did not want the ministry to be completed before the monsoon session.
